List a camera more than once to show it more often. Each camera's hours of operation and timezone are shown beside its name; a camera that is asleep or offline when its turn comes is skipped, and the turn passes to the next one that is awake.

Shifts the window further into the past. Leave at 0 unless you need the stream to line up with an external clock.

Window (s)

How much footage the playlist holds. A player buffers about three segments before it starts, so shorter than 30s leaves it nothing to work with.

Off, the channel plays in a browser only. The recorded segments each start their own clock, which a browser tolerates and VLC, Apple devices and Plex do not. On, the channel is re-encoded onto one continuous timeline that every player accepts — at the cost of GPU time and a second copy of the video on disk. Turn it on to watch on a television.

Play background music

Re-encoded channels only. The cameras record no sound, so this is a looping music bed rather than audio from the scene. Some recorders refuse a channel that carries no audio track at all.

Re-encoded channels only. A ceiling, not a size: a camera smaller or slower than this keeps its own size and rate rather than being stretched or having frames duplicated up to the ceiling. Leave empty to use the site default.

What to expect

Video runs about 25–30 seconds behind real time, and about 35–50 seconds on a re-encoded channel.
The cameras record no sound. A re-encoded channel plays a music bed instead; every other channel is silent.
A tour changes camera only on a segment boundary, so dwell times round up to whole segments.
A camera outside its hours of operation, or one that has stopped producing footage, loses its turn to the next camera in the tour.
With nothing at all to show, the channel plays colour bars rather than stopping — a black player would be indistinguishable from a crash.
